SUMMER LEARNING ACADEMY
CLOSING THE ACHIEVEMENT GAP
The Summer Learning Academy is a free summer program designed to engage and empower students through a blend of academic enrichment, socio-emotional learning, and basketball-based athletic development. Youth experience a structured yet fun environment that includes project-based learning, competitive sports, field trips, and leadership development.
Working with active Boston Public School teachers and staff, students receive hands-on guidance, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities aimed at closing the opportunity gap and combating summer learning loss.
Our greatest impact comes from the year-round engagement our staff members have with participants, whether through direct instruction, extracurricular activities, or school involvement. This consistent connection allows us to build deeper relationships, enabling us to make a stronger and more meaningful impact. It is this level of engagement that sets us apart from other summer programs.
