BASKETBALL
CLUB BASKETBALL
Team New England is the largest inner-city basketball program on the east coast. With six chapters located in eight cities in New England, and program affiliations spanning across the Northeast and Tri-State areas, we are the top competitive program in the region.
Our teams play year-round in the top basketball circuits in the region. All players of TEAM New England graduate high school and play NCAA college basketball, with many having a career in professional basketball.
GLOBAL IMPACT
BEYOND BORDERS
Our Beyond Borders program identifies high potential international student athletes and guides them from connection to placement at US prep schools. We provide advocacy, well-being support, and financial assistance, to close the gap for tuition, housing, food, training and other expenses.
EDUCATION
PREP SCHOOL SHOWCASE
Our annual Prep School Showcase empowers youth by providing exposure, resources and connections to advance their education and achieve their athletic goals. Activities include an admissions fair, coaches panel, and basketball skills showcase with real time feedback and evaluations.
BPS COLLEGIATE SHOWCASE
The Boston Public School Collegiate Showcase is designed to bridge the gap for under-recruited and unsigned Boston Public School athletes by providing a platform that offers exposure and equal access to college basketball programs and their educational institutions. We believe that all athletes should have access to opportunities, regardless of income, geography or background.
ENRICHMENT
SUMMER LEARNING ACADEMY
In 2020, we became the first competitive athletic organization to provide inner city youth with a free summer enrichment program to support closing the achievement gap. TNE staff and coaches, in partnership with local organizations and Boston Public Schools teachers and counselors, provide a project-based learning experience for youth rising in 8th and 9th grade.
This 5-week program includes academic enrichment, project-based learning, social-emotional development discussions, career pathways exploration field trips, sports and games.
STEM INTERNSHIP
TEAM New England partnered with Waters Corporation in 2021 to create an annual internship program to expand and enhance learning opportunities for Boston high school students. Students engage in hands-on projects, shadow several functions within Waters, and participate in real-world applications of STEM principles.
